Overview

The Division of Allergy, Immunology, Pulmonary, and Sleep Medicine at Children’s Mercy Kansas City is seeking a physician who is board-certified/eligible in Pediatric Pulmonology to join the current faculty of 13 in the Section of Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine. The division has been built upon a foundation emphasizing multi-disciplinary team models for the care of children who have a wide variety of acute and chronic respiratory and sleep disorders.  Our Primary mission is to provide comprehensive medical and psychosocial care to our patients and their families.  A culture of academic achievement and scholarship is fostered within the Division and all faculty members are encouraged to pursue scholarly activities. The division is dedicated to educational excellence for patients and families, allied health care providers, and our community.

 

The section currently includes General Pulmonary Medicine, the Children’s Mercy Sleep Center, and an active Cystic Fibrosis Care Center. We are seeking a physician who can expand current programs and develop new programs if needed. The physician will also be engaged in general pulmonary medicine activity in ambulatory and inpatient settings.

 

Candidates should be board-certified/eligible in Pediatric Pulmonology or Pediatric Sleep Medicine, have established clinical skills, and interest in scholarly activity and a willingness to participate in education activities.  Academic appointment is with the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine, where we are the primary pediatric teaching site for students, residents and fellows.  Salary and academic rank will be commensurate with experience and credentials.
