The Department of Radiology at Children’s Mercy Kansas City and the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Medicine (UMKC-SOM) seek a clinical / academic Pediatric Interventional Radiologist to join a highly specialized academic Pediatric Radiology group. This position includes a collegial, private practice style work environment with autonomous management of pediatric imaging and procedures.
Our rapidly growing Radiology Department at Children's Mercy is comprised of 27 radiologists with subspecialty expertise in all areas of pediatric imaging, including 4 radiologists who currently practice interventional radiology. Compensation, paid time off and benefits are highly competitive to the market. Both full and part-time candidates will be considered. This is an on-site opportunity.
The candidate should be CAQ-certified or CAQ-eligible in Pediatric Radiology as well as Interventional Radiology or have extensive experience with image guided procedures in pediatrics. The position is approximately 70% interventional radiology and 30% diagnostic radiology which entails practice within all aspects of pediatric imaging. Teaching duties include radiology residents from multiple residency programs. Research opportunities also are available and encouraged but not required. Academic appointments will be through the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Medicine. Our program has a CAQ accredited pediatric radiology fellowship program and interventional radiology fellows from the University of Kansas rotate through our department.
